Original watercolour and gouache painting on 300gsm watercolour paper. The watercolour paper has a subtle texture.
This artwork is based on the many spiral and radial type patterns in nature, crochet textiles (from memories of childhood) and the concept of the mandala (from a grandmother who went on many pilgrimages to India and introduced me to the concept).
It is cut out around the outer-edge and intended to be floated 5mm in a box frame like a museum specimen under glass. This casts a lovely shadow and makes a real impact.
I use the highest grade and lightfast-rated artist grade materials to ensure that with the correct care, your artwork should remain vibrant for generations!
Please note this painting is sold unframed. I ship the artworks unframed, rolled in a tube, as it is safer, greener and far less expensive than shipping a massive artwork in a custom built crate. I provide a PDF of framing instructions for your framer of choice and I am happy to correspond with them directly to ensure your piece is framed as intended!
